Welcome to the It's All Good Community, a progressive church experience emerging on the Gogebic and Penokee Range in Gogebic County, Michigan and Iron County, Wisconsin. At It's All Good Community, we gather as a community for spiritual transformation and to build relationships with ourselves, our neighbors and with God. The It's All Good Community has several branches: It's All Good Café, It's All Good Outreach, All Souls Church, It's All Good Outdoors, and It's All Good Serving. It's All Good is supported by the Fourth Congregational Church of Chicago, Illinois and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. (www.naccc.org)

The mission of It's All Good is to help people on their spiritual journeys by:

• Liberating minds to seek truth without fear
• Promoting a lifelong process of spiritual discovery and growth
• Creating a loving community that honors each person's experience
• Freely extending the love of God to all in the spirit of Jesus

History

Fourth Congregational Church was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1867 and is a member of the National Association Of Congregational Christian Churches.

In 2007, Fourth Congregational Church of Chicago sold its historic building and decided to use the proceeds to plant a church for the dechurched, unchurched, the religious, spiritual but not religious, and those questioning their faith. They proceeded to look for a location and decided to provide ministry to people in Chicago and Michigan. In the beginning, they chose to focus on the neighborhood of Hegewisch on the far Southeast side of the City of Chicago.

In 2009, Fourth Congregational decided to expand the vision of the church to include more of the communities in the Hegewisch area. They leased a building in Whiting, Indiana and opened the It's All Good Café in July, 2009, with the vision to create a third place in the community, a place to meet people, build relationships, and enhance community relationships. The business part of the cafe was closed in October 2010.

During this time period, Fourth Congregational Church was beginning an outdoor ministry in the Ironwood, Michigan area bringing people from the city to the northwoods for hunting, camping and snowmobiling. After spending much time up in "God's Country" Fourth Congregational Church Plant was led to begin planting a ministry on the Gogebic and Penokee Range. We hope to build a community of faith there to reach out to people in the area, to share with them the love of God, to encourage freedom of thought and an incarnational way of living, and to have a place where deeds mean more than creeds, where liberation is more important than salvation and a place which believes in justice more than righteousness. A place for people to grow their soul not just save their soul. Because, spiritual life is a journey, not a destination.

In 2010 a large 3 floor home was purchased in Ironwood, Michigan as the base for this ministry. In October 2011 the home was finished after 20 months of rehabilitation. It's All Good Community is the ministry arm of the new church to be started on the Gogebic and Penokee Range. The church name will be: All Souls Community Church.
